Abstract: Geographic Information Systems applied to the study of the landscape and territory of Roman times are currently a common practice in historical and archaeological studies. This book analyzes the issue for the Iberian Peninsula as a whole, Spain and Portugal, transcending the current administrative border. In this book, the most innovative methodologies and results for the study of the ancient rural environment in Hispania are shown through a series of selected case studies.
