Abstract: The principal aim of this work is to show that the heat flux through one region of the Earth can be altered by external factors to the borehole where the heat flux is measured. Temperatures can be altered, in the region, due to chemical exothermic reactions between water and some ore minerals. The last factor studied is the effect of water circulation in the region. We made a model with an aquifer in the region, and studied the temperature distribution using different hydraulic permeability values and different depths of the aquifer. With this model, we obtained the temperature and the vertical heat flow values in the region.
