Abstract: | Concept diversity is inherent to silvopastoral system due to their historical and evolutionary dimensions. It's mathematical in the sense that we can have different combinations of its components including. Narrowing the look over this diversity to the case of montado and dehesa we display the variance of the meaning of this concept's definition. The concepts of montado and dehesa are described considering the spatial and temporal dimensions, as well as a social construct. After mapping and following the reasoning behind the plurality of definitions we discuss its impact on the governance of such systems. |
