Gestão da integração de sistemas de informação: Contexto de business intelligence

Abstract

O presente trabalho estuda a utilização de plataformas de Data Warehouse, em contexto de Business Intelligence, no processo de integração da informação existente nas diferentes plataformas de suporte aos sistemas de informação, colocando ao dispor da organização um conjunto de informações consistentes e úteis que proporcionem condições para a criação de vantagens competitivas. É neste contexto, que se pretende estudar de forma estruturada os factores e particularidades associadas à integração da informação neste tipo de soluções para suporte à tomada de decisão, assim como a apresentação de algumas considerações que contribuam para a criação de condições de sucesso no processo de integração. Pretende-se ainda alertar para alguns aspectos associados às mudanças provocadas pela inovação dos sistemas de ¡normação nas organizações. Dado o carácter técnico e organizacional, a integração da informação em contexto de Business Intelligence necessita da efectiva aceitação de toda a organização. /***Abstract - The present dissertation studies the use of the Data Warehouse platforms, in the context of Business Intelligence, in the process integration of the existing information in the different platforms of support to the information systems, placing for use of organization a set of consistent and useful information that provide conditions for the creation of competitive advantages. lt's in this context, that intends to study in a structuralized form the factors and particularities associated to the integration of information in this type of solutions for decision support, as well as the presentation of some considerations that contribute for the creation of success conditions to the integration process. lt's still intended to alert for some aspects associated to the changes provoked by the innovation of the information systems in the organizations. Due to the technician and organizacional aspects, the integration of the information in Business Intelligence context needs the effective acceptance of all organization.
