promovendo a sustentabilidade no setor residencial.
realizar a modelação térmica.
Computer modeling and validation of passive solar solutions to improve the thermal
comfort of a prefabricated building.
Passive solar strategies applied to a building allow a more efficient use of energy,
reducing heat and cooling requirements and hence the dependence on resources from nonrenewable
sources of energy, thus promoting sustainability in the residential sector. This
work aims at quantifying the potential of different passive strategies for reducing energy
needs for heating and cooling. For this purpose the software EnergyPlus was used to
model the energy performance of a case study: a modular building at the
University of Évora. Data on the architecture, the elements of the envelope,
the use of standards, the thermal loads and the environmental conditions was collected and
used in the software, in order to accomplish the thermal modeling. The results presented by
the software have been validated with experimental measurements performed in the
building, in order to calibrate the model. Then the passive solar strategies were applied to the
original configuration on the thermal modeling, including the use of shading and buried
pipes system, and these results were compared with the results obtained for the original
configuration of the building. |
