Proteção e valorização do património cultural. Um contributo

Abstract

O presente Relatório de Estágio foi realizado no âmbito da conclusão do Curso de Mestrado em Gestão e Valorização do Património Histórico e Cultural. Este trabalho tem como principal objetivo a descrição e análise das atividades realizadas na Direção-Geral do Património Cultural. As atividades descritas neste trabalho decorreram no Departamento de Bens Culturais e correspondem ao Estágio Curricular, que teve a duração total de 380 horas. Este relatório faz uma análise crítica dos processos de gestão e valorização do património procurando contextualizar as várias atividades desempenhadas durante o período do estágio. Nos dois primeiros capítulos deste trabalho procurei contextualizar a evolução do conceito de património, assim como as suas políticas de proteção e valorização, sendo que nos restantes apresento não só os trabalhos desenvolvidos durante o período de Estágio, como também um contributo de reflexão científica, com o propósito de trazer para a história da arte e do património um estudo atualizado sobre os processos de classificação do património arquitetónico, complementando a teoria com a prática, de modo a estabelecer um novo olhar sobre as tendências de classificação do património edificado nos últimos 20 anos em Portugal Continental, indicando o que mais tem sido classificado e o porquê, a partir de gráficos que demonstram a importância do património na sociedade atual. Para além disto, o presente trabalho contém uma reflexão crítica acerca da gestão e da valorização do património em Portugal; Protection and Enhancement of Cultural Heritage A Contribution Abstract: This Internship Report was carried out as part of the conclusion of the master’s Course in Management and Enhancement of Historical and Cultural Heritage. This work has as main objective the description and analysis of the activities carried out in the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage. The activities described in this work were carried out in the Department of Cultural Assets during the Curricular Internship, which had a total duration of 380 hours. This report addresses a critical analysis of the management and enhancement of heritage, seeking to contextualize the various activities performed during the internship period. In the first two chapters of this work I tried to contextualize the evolution of the heritage concept, as well as its protection and valorisation policies, and in the others I present not only the work developed during the Internship period, but also a scientific contribution, with the purpose of to bring to the history of art and heritage an up-to-date study on the classification processes of architectural heritage, complementing theory with practice on a new look at the trends in classification of built heritage in the last 20 years in mainland Portugal, indicating the what else has been classified and why, from graphs that demonstrate the importance of heritage in today's society. In addition, the present work contains a critical reflection on the management and valorisation of heritage in Portugal.
