Semantic values of "só", "ainda", "ainda só", "já" and "já sim" presente in Angolan Portuguese: A proposal based on practical exercises
In the scope of linguistic variation, this study will reflect upon adverbs such as "só", "ainda", "ainda só ", "já" and "já sim" used in the Portuguese language spoken in Angola.
In this country, Portuguese language has some special characteristics (syntactic, morphological, phonetic and phonological and semantic and pragmatic). However, this linguistic variation lacks standardizing instruments, such as grammars and dictionaries.
The case in question aims to highlight the semantic and pragmatic differences observed in the use of Portuguese language in Angolan territory. We aim at identifying deviations from the standard norm and thus proceed to analyse the implications of such deviations both in the teaching and learning process. Manuals and other pedagogical materials used by Angolan students are always written following the standard European Portuguese.
To achieve our objectives, we will use texts produced by 7th grade students of the Angolan education system. |
