Abstract: Aim: Assess the influence of the nursing interventions on the self-care, accomplished by patients with heart failure. Methodology: The research was based on the database EBSCO (MEDLINE with FULL TEXT, CINALH, Plus with Full Text and MedicLatina) retrospectively from 2000 to 2018. Ten articles were selected based on their relevance for the study and evaluated the evidence levels of the articles using Melnyk and Fineout-Overholt (2011). Results: The nursing team carried out educational meetings, interviews and home visits, allowing the identification of the functional status, self-care, symptom management, patient satisfaction and health service utilization, as health gains. Conclusions: With this review we concluded that nursing interventions can contribute to the recovery of patients with heart failure that self-care, which pinpoints the importance of nursing in the role of health promotion.
