No final do relatório é apresentada uma descrição detalhada do percurso profissional do candidato, acentuando exaustivamente a experiência e atividade profissional no domínio da energia e do ambiente, bem como a listagem de artigos publicados e outras competências adquiridas; ABSTRACT: The present report aims to describe the professional experience of the candidate Cláudio José da Silva Casimiro to obtain the degree of Master in Energy and Environment. To achieve this goal a development of a theme is done. The theme that is addressed relates the conduction of energy audits for wastewater treatment plants.
The development of the theme will be carried out by a literature review that stresses the relation of the energy audits with energy and the environment. In this review will be also emphasized issues related with energy dependence, energy diversification and energy intensity. It will be also examined the legal framework and methodology of energy auditing and its importance as a tool for boosting energy efficiency.
Afterwards, a description of a case study will be made. This case study presents the implementation of four energy audits conducted by the candidate for wastewater treatment plants. It will be made a description of the processes associated with wastewater treatment, giving particular focus on the energy issues and the methodological framework applied for conduction of the audits. It is also analyzed the energy accounting of the plants, with particular emphasis on energy efficiency indicators (specific energy consumption, energy intensity and carbon intensity). Finally a description of the energy efficiency opportunities that was detected at the energy audits will be made.
At the end of the report is focused a detailed description of the candidate's career, highlighting the professional experience on the energy and the environment, as well as a listing of published articles and other skills acquired. |
