Desenvolvimento de Competências do Enfermeiro Especialista: Notificação de eventos adversos nos cuidados ao doente crítico

Abstract

O presente relatório tem como objetivo a aquisição e o desenvolvimento de competências do Enfermeiro Especialista, bem como as de Mestre. Neste percurso formativo, foram realizados três estágios clínicos em ambientes de cuidados à pessoa em situação crítica. A metodologia adotada parte de um projeto formativo e desenvolve-se através de uma análise crítico-reflexiva das experiências vivenciadas e a realização de uma Scoping Review, sobre a temática da notificação de eventos adversos. O Modelo para a Mudança da Prática Baseada na Evidência de June Larrabee constituiu o referencial teórico orientador. A segurança do doente constitui um pilar fundamental da qualidade em saúde, assumindo especial relevância na pessoa em situação crítica. A ocorrência de eventos adversos representa um desafio significativo, sendo a notificação uma estratégia de melhoria contínua. Este percurso permitiu consolidar uma prática fundamentada, crítica e reflexiva, evidenciando o papel do Enfermeiro Especialista na promoção de cuidados de qualidade e seguros; Development of specialist nurse competencies: reporting of adverse events in the care off critical ill patients - Abstract: This report aims to support the acquisition and development of competencies of the Specialist Nurse, as well as those of a Master’s degree holder. Throughout this educational pathway, three clinical placements were undertaken in care settings focused on critically ill patients. The methodology adopted is based on a formative project and is developed through a critical-reflective analysis of lived experiences, along with the conduction of a Scoping Review on the topic of adverse event reporting. The June Larrabee Evidence-Based Practice Change Model served as the guiding theoretical framework. Patient safety is a fundamental pillar of healthcare quality, assuming particular relevance in the care of critically ill patients. The occurrence of adverse events represents a significant challenge, with reporting being a strategy for continuous improvement. This pathway enabled the consolidation of a grounded, critical, and reflective practice, highlighting the role of the Specialist Nurse in promoting safe, high-quality care.
