Preservação da Dignidade da Pessoa em últimos dias e horas de vida: contributos da equipa de hospitalização domiciliária

Abstract

Este relatório integrado no IX Mestrado em Enfermagem na área de especialização de Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica na área de Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Paliativa, reflete o meu percurso académico realizado através da descrição, análise critica e reflexiva das atividades realizadas nos contextos de estágio, que me permitiu demonstrar competências de mestre em enfermagem e específicas de enfermeiro especialista. O tema central do relatório demonstra os contributos das equipas de hospitalização domiciliária, como um projeto inovador em expansão, no âmbito da preservação da dignidade da Pessoa em fim de vida. Realço a necessidade de desenvolver intervenções focadas na individualização dos cuidados e nas necessidades da Pessoa/família com um ambiente de cuidado que lhe confira respeito, conforto e privacidade. Relembro a importância de uma atuação interdisciplinar e proativa, como elementos indissociáveis do processo de cuidar, com um papel incontestável na humanização dos cuidados, assegurando a dignidade e autonomia até ao último momento; - PRESERVATION OF THE DIGNITY OF THE PERSON IN THE LAST DAYS AND HOURS OF LIFE: CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE HOME HOSPITALIZATION TEAM ABSTRACT: This report, part of the IX Master's Degree in Nursing in the area of specialization of Medical-Surgical Nursing in the area of Nursing for the Person in Palliative Situation, reflects my academic path carried out through the description, critical and reflective analysis of the activities carried out in the internship contexts, which allowed me to demonstrate skills of a master in nursing and specific skills of a specialist nurse. The central theme of the report demonstrates the contributions of home hospitalization teams, as an innovative and expanding project, in the context of preserving the dignity of the person at the end of life. I emphasize the need to develop interventions focused on the individualization of care and the needs of the Person/family with a care environment that gives them respect, comfort and privacy. I recall the importance of interdisciplinary and proactive action, as inseparable elements of the care process, with an undeniable role in the humanization of care, ensuring dignity and autonomy until the last moment.
