| Abstract: | Chapter 20, "Quality of life of youth with complex and intensive support needs: personal conceptions of professionals in the context of training", summarizes a study conducted by the Enablin+ project. The research explored the personal conceptions and understanding of Quality of Life (QoL) held by professionals who support youth with complex and intensive needs. The context for this investigation was the innovative pilot training program offered at the University of Évora, highlighting the impact of specific in-service training on professional perspectives. The chapter aims to understand how professionals conceptualize QoL for this population and how training may influence their approach to promoting the well-being and inclusion of the young people they serve. |
