Construção e validação de um guião de entrevista de avaliação de risco suicidário

Abstract

Esta investigação teve como objetivo desenvolver e validar um guião de entrevista de avaliação de risco suicidário em adultos mais velhos em Portugal. Realizaram-se dois estudos: no primeiro construiu-se o guião e no segundo, testou-se numa amostra de oito mulheres entre os 64 e 85 anos. O guião de entrevista foi desenvolvido com base no consenso entre oito juízes independentes sobre a criação de categorias e subcategorias resultantes dos três instrumentos mais utilizados na área. A amostra foi subdividida em função das pontuações obtidas na Escala de Depressão Geriátrica- 10. O guião revelou-se fecundo para suscitar diferentes manifestações de comportamentos suicidários entre os grupos, sendo os seus resultados consistentes com os do Questionário de Comportamentos Suicidários Revisto. Os resultados parecem sugerir uma associação entre sintomas depressivos e risco suicidário nesta faixa etária; - Construction and validation of a suicide risk assessment interview script Abstract: This research aimed to develop and validate an interview script for assessing suicide risk in older adults in Portugal. Two studies were conducted: in the first, the guide was developed, and in the second, it was tested on a sample of eight women aged between 64 and 85. The interview guide was developed based on the consensus of eight independent judges on the creation of categories and subcategories resulting from the three most used instruments in the field. The sample was subdivided according to the scores obtained on the Geriatric Depression Scale-10. The script proved to be effective in eliciting different manifestations of suicidal behaviour among the groups, with results consistent with those of the Revised Suicidal Behaviour Questionnaire. The results seem to suggest an association between depressive symptoms and suicide risk in this age group.
