Authors: Gonçalves, Ana Cristina
Abstract: Models of silviculture are used for the selection and scheduling of the silvicultural practices from installation to the end of the production cycle. Most of the published models of silviculture are for even aged stands. Those for mixed and uneven aged stands are scarce. The goal of this study was the development of models of silviculture for Portuguese species; with examples for Pinus pinea, Quercus suber Quercus rotundifolia, Pinus pinaster and Castanea sativa. Five stand structures were considered (pure even aged, mixed even aged, temporary mixed even aged, pure uneven aged and mixed uneven aged). For mixed stands were considered two species admixtures and for uneven aged 2, 3 and 4 cohorts. The local level models of silviculture developed in this study are
conceptual frameworks where guidelines can be derived to define the model of silviculture for a stand, including target stand structure and production cycle, according to management goals, species and site. Overall, it was intended to stress the importance of defining models of silviculture that are flexible to accommodate a wide range of management options and that should be dynamic in space and time. These models cannot be used directly but have to be adapted to each stand.2022-01-01T00:00:00ZCarta Interpretativa do Solo do Mioceno da Charneca do RibatejoNeves, NunoAfonso, TeresaGonçalves Ferreira, AlfredoGonçalves, Ana CristinaAlmeida Ribeiro, NunoSaraiva Dias, Susanahttp://hdl.handle.net/10174/290022021-01-29T17:03:25Z2020-09-10T23:00:00ZTitle: Carta Interpretativa do Solo do Mioceno da Charneca do Ribatejo

A análise estatística evidencia aderência do modelo à realidade utilizando como indicador o peso anidro de cortiça por unidade de área descortiçada (PCM2), dando origem a uma carta com mais detalhe.2020-09-10T23:00:00ZProspective study on the incidence and pattern of injuries in young Portuguese futsal players - an approach centred on the playing positionSerrano, JoãoShahidian, S.Serrano, João F.Leite, N.http://hdl.handle.net/10174/286532021-01-08T13:38:48Z2020-12-08T00:00:00ZTitle: Prospective study on the incidence and pattern of injuries in young Portuguese futsal players - an approach centred on the playing position

Abstract: Futsal is the most popular sport at the level of schools in Portugal. Its future development
requires better knowledge of the incidence of injuries, as a means of adjusting the training and match processes. The aim of this study was to characterize match injury in young Portuguese futsal players based on (i) an approach centred on the playing position and (ii) real-time monitoring of the 111 national inter-association tournament matches promoted by the Portuguese Football Federation in the
2017/2018 sports season. The results showed a higher match injury index (IMI, injuries per 1000 h) in the women's tournament (IMI = 234.8) than in the men's tournaments (IMI=156.8 and IMI=119.3, respectively under 18 years and under 16 years). Regarding the playing positions, winger and goalkeeper together
accounted for 67.5% of the injuries. Our prospective study also showed that contusion (65.6%), of traumatic origin (69.1%), over the dominant (79.0%) foot (42.1%) and with time-loss (67.1%) represents the dominant pattern of match injuries, with greater prevalence in the final period of each part of the
match (63.2%). These findings show the interest in further studies that can provide a better
understanding of why there is a higher incidence of injuries in women's futsal and highlight the need for specific work on injury prevention, especially at the level of wingers and goalkeepers and in the management of the balanced participation of players throughout the match.2020-12-08T00:00:00ZAumentar as competências dos agricultores para a prática de uma agricultura sustentável.
