Abstract: The present work studies a set of ceramics materials, properly designated loom components, from the Pavia Castle site, in Mora. This place was firstly excavated by Vergílio Correia in the beginning of the 20th century. With this essay there’s a presentation of the typological and technological studies of the materials, in order to elaborate an approximation to their funcionality. The data were framed in the regional panorama so there could be a comparison between the dimmensions and characteristics with the regional parameters. The loom components are ceramics artefacts distinctive from the chalcolithic villages in the South of the Iberian Peninsula. They’re of vastly importance for the study of agricultural, pastoral and handicraft transformations that were typical of these communities, being a visible manifestation of the 3rd millenium BCE transformations.
