Algumas notas sobre a coleção dos objetos científicos de Física em um século de ensino no Liceu de Évora (1841-1941)

Abstract

A Escola Secundária André de Gouveia (ESAG) é a herdeira educativa do Liceu de Évora, fundado em 1841. Estudar e valorizar a coleção de instrumentos científicos deste liceu no contexto do ensino da Física, entre 1841 e 1941, é o propósito deste trabalho. Em 1864 são destinados ao Liceu de Évora os primeiros objetos para o ensino da Física na sequência da inclusão da disciplina, em 1860, na oferta educativa. Até 1941 a coleção é aumentada e atualizada em conformidade com os programas, a par da evolução do Gabinete de Física. O ensino da Física e a utilização dos seus instrumentos foi consonante com a realidade nacional, tendo os trabalhos práticos individuais sido implementados a partir de 1928. Os instrumentos para o ensino da Física constituem um testemunho material da prática pedagógica no liceu merecedor de ser divulgado, pelo que se procedeu à catalogação de parte do espólio da ESAG; #### ABSTRACT:

The Secondary School André de Gouveia (ESAG) is the educational heir of the Lyceum of Évora, founded in 1841. Study and enhance the collection of scientific instruments in the context of this school physics teaching, between 1841 and 1941, is the purpose of this work. In 1864 are intended to Lyceum of Évora the first objects to the teaching of physics following the inclusion of the subject, in 1860, in educational offer. Until 1941 the collection is enlarged and updated in accordance with the programs, together with the evolution of the Physics Cabinet. The teaching of physics and the use of their instruments was in line with the national reality, and individual practical work was implemented from 1928. The instruments for the teaching of physics is a material witness in the school teaching practice worthy of being published, so we proceeded to the cataloging of ESAG´s assets.
